Angelo M. Andriano
Angelo M. Andriano is a PhD Student at IULM University in the field of the Philosophy of Games, Game Studies and Philosophy of Technology.
He is developing a project about the ways in which videogames can decenter the players to foster systemtic and environmental awareness.
He is interested in the themes of interactive irony, game rules, systemic design and how videogames leverage aesthetics of friction to promote rich experiences for players beyond mere fun and entertainment.
His works have appeared on Games and Culture, Eludamos and forthcoming in Scholar’s Codex, a book on academics’ perspectives about Soulslike games, published by Tune and Fairweather.
